The first edition of this work in the publishers original cloth binding.

A novel concerning a family after the death of a wealthy old lady and the inheritance she leaves behind. Like many of his novels - including his popular supernatural novel A Haunted Inheritance - this work is set in the fictional "Daneshire", corresponding with real places in Norfolk and Suffolk, and includes uses of the Norfolk dialect.

James Blyth, a pseudonym for Henry James Catling Clabburn, has a plethora of popular and science fiction works credited to his name. He is best known for his Future War novels, in all of which Britain is pitted against Germany.


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with shelf wear to the joints and extremities. Lacking the end papers. Hinges are starting but remain firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot.
