L'histoire d'Ultra remonte à1911, lorsque la société horlogèreGeismar & Ciede Besançon dépose la marque Ultra. Après la faillite de l'entreprise, elle a été reprise parPaul Maillardet & Filsen1937.

L'objectif était de créer une manufacture de montres qui produisait également des mouvements. LaCompagnie Industrielle Horlogèrea été fondée dans ce but. Afin de donner à la marque Ultra sa propre identité en tant que manufacture,Ultra SARLa ensuite été fondée en1946avec son siège officiel à Morteau, en France. Cependant, la production était située dans l'ancienmoulin de Tarragnozà Besançon.

Le mouvement est poinçonnéUltra 410sous le balancier, estplaqué or rougeet dispose d'une protectionanti-choc Incabloc. Au lieu du spiral Breguet, unspiral plata été utilisé ici aussi.
